It’s the 2017 Georgia Pharmacy Convention and that means it’s time to review selected new drugs released over past 12 months using a formulary approach. Each medication’s characteristics – pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, efficacy, safety, dosing, and cost – will be compared to current medications used for similar indications.

Rusty May, Clinical Professor at the UGA College of Pharmacy, will guide participants as they determine if new medications meet the criteria for addition to a health system or insurance preferred drug list or formulary.
